XXVI BENIDORM MUSIC COMPETITION 2025
in the OBOE SPECIALITY
The Hon. Benidorm City Council organizes the XXVI Benidorm Music Competition in the specialty of OBOE
1. CONTESTANTS
All students enrolled in the Active modality in the specialty of OBOE in the XXXVI International Music Course of Benidorm who wish to participate in the Competition may participate.
2. . PHASES AND REPERTOIRE
PRELIMINARY PHASE:
Send a video recording no older than one year from the date of the contest, which will be July 4, 2025, of between 15 and 20 minutes with a free, non-manipulated program and made in a single take, before 23:59 on June 10 to email cursomusica2025@gmail.com
The list of students who pass to the final phase will be made public on the website of the Benidorm International Music Course on June 17.
FINAL PHASE:
In this final phase, three finalists chosen from the preliminary phase will perform the quartet in F Major KV. 370 by Mozart in its original quartet version.
The organization will provide the finalists with the string group to perform this quartet.
3. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The order of performance of the finalists will be determined by draw the day before the final.
The organization reserves the right to record and disseminate the contest through the appropriate means of each and every one of the phases without this causing any remuneration or collection of rights for the contestants. Any other recording must have the authorization of the contest organization.
Each participant will have a 45-minute rehearsal on Friday morning, July 4, and a 15-minute acoustic test at the final venue, both in the same order of performance as in the final of the competition.
Candidates must use original material.
Participation in the competition implies the acceptance of these rules by the candidates.
4. COURT
The panel will be made up of professors of the Course as well as professors and/or soloists of recognized prestige and its composition will be public before the final test is held. The court’s decision will be final. The court may declare any award void.
5. PRIZES
First Prize: Prize “Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Benidorm” endowed with a prize of 1000 € (These amounts will be subject to the corresponding percentage reduction in the IRPF established), the realization of the inaugural concert of the Cycle “Classical Music Nights” to be held in Benidorm in July 2026 and accrediting diploma
Second Prize: Prize “Concejalía de Cultura del Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Benidorm”, endowed with 600 € (this amount will be subject to the corresponding taxes), the performance of a concert within the “Grandes Recitales” cycle in the 26-27 season organized by the Department of Culture of the City Council of Benidorm and an accreditation diploma
Third Prize: Prize “Benidorm International Music Course” which includes free registration for the XXXVII Benidorm International Music Course of 2026 and accrediting diploma.
